Special Registration Fee: With the congress now only 9 months away, it is a good idea to take up the “Special Registration” fee applicable if you register before 31 December 2011. Yes that is correct, it is even cheaper than the offer of Early Bird registration. The Academic team on the Local Organising Committee invites landscape architects and anyone from a related discipline with an interest in landscape architecture to submit research and/or a practice-related abstract which address the Congress Theme or Sub Themes and eagerly await responses from around the world.
Theme: Landscapes in Transition: Sub Themes: Natural Landscapes in Transition, Cultural Landscapes in Transition and Urban Landscapes in Transition.

Student Competition: The challenging student competition has been launched! We have received many inquiries from students excited about the opportunity to showcase the ability of landscape architecture to fundamentally transform the places we live in. The intention is to publish the best entries as widely as possible, creating increased awareness of the transformative power of creative and strategic landscape architecture. A number of landscape architecture programmes have indicated that they will be absorbing the competition into their mainstream curriculum, so we are looking forward to a significant collection of high quality entries!
